Attention students that received a letter regarding membership into the National Honor Society:  The Candidate meetings originally scheduled for Thu., Jan. 29th have been rescheduled for Friday, Jan. 30th at 2:45pm or Mon., Feb. 2nd at 7:05am in the high school Media Center Lab.  Students are asked to attend only one of these informational meetings to receive the application packet.  See Mrs. Atchison in the Guidance office with any questions.


NORTHVIEW HS COFFEE CONNECTION - TUESDAY, FEB. 3RD

The next Coffee Connection at Northview High School is scheduled for Tuesday, February 3rd from 7:45 to 8:45 AM in the Performing Arts Center (PAC). Please park in the PAC parking lot off of Rahn Drive.

High School staff will present pertinent information pertaining to what is happening at the High School.  We will finish the hour by devoting some time touring the building and visiting some classrooms for a few minutes.   This will give you an opportunity to see first-hand the outstanding quality of our staff and a peek at our culture.

IMPORTANT DATES FOR SENIOR STUDENTS

GRADUATION IS SCHEDULED FOR

TUESDAY, MAY 26, 2015 AT 7:30 PM

AT SUNSHINE COMMUNITY CHURCH

GRADUATION REHEARSAL IS SCHEDULED FOR

TUESDAY, MAY 26 AT 8:00 AM

AT SUNSHINE COMMUNITY CHURCH

IT IS IMPORTANT THAT SENIORS ATTEND REHEARSAL!

TUESDAY, APRIL 14TH

On Tuesday, April 14th at 9:00 AM in the Performing Arts Center, Seniors will meet with Jostens to receive caps and gowns, and graduation products. Orders MUST be picked up at this time. If your student will not be at school during this time, please make arrangements to have someone pick up their shipment for them. Seniors orders must be paid in full in order to receive it. Sorry, but NO checks can be accepted on the day of delivery; cash or money order only please.

Graduation tickets will also be given to Seniors at the April 14th meeting. At this time, it has not been determined how many tickets each student will receive; the number is contingent upon the number of students walking. More information re: graduation tickets will be available in late February / early March.

Graduation and the All-Night Party 2015 are coming up fast! Sign up now for an unforgettable night of fun and memories with your classmates. Sign up is $80 per student. Registration forms can be found on the 2nd floor outside Mrs. Hiler's office door or visit our high school web site and click on Senior All Night Party 2015. NORTHVIEW RECOGNIZED ON A STATE & NATIONAL LEVEL!

US News and World Reports does an annual ranking of high school based on performance measures (http://www.mlive.com/lansing-news/index.ssf/2013/04/east_lansing_okemos_high_schoo.html#incart_river) in reading, math, and college/workforce data.

Northview High School was awarded a Silver Medal and ranked #59 out of 826 Michigan High Schools.  The national ranking was #2004 out of 21,000 high schools.
