Arts

At Northview, we believe that artistic expression is a vital part of a well-rounded education. Our comprehensive K-12 Performing & Visual Arts program is designed to inspire creativity, foster self-expression, and develop essential skills in all of our students.

From kindergarten through 12th grade, students have the opportunity to explore a diverse range of artistic disciplines. Whether it's the thrill of the stage, the precision of an instrument, or the beauty of a brushstroke, our program provides a supportive and enriching environment for all artistic interests and skill levels.

Our dedicated educators are passionate about nurturing young talent and guiding students as they discover their artistic voices. Through engaging instruction, hands-on experiences, and numerous performance and exhibition opportunities, students build confidence, develop critical thinking, and learn the value of collaboration and discipline.

Join us in celebrating the vibrant world of arts at Northview Public Schools, where every student has the chance to imagine, create, and shine!

Marching Band

Comprised of our three bands during the Fall, it is not a separate class, but just the first 9 weeks of the other bands classes. The marching band goes beyond the Friday night home games as it competes throughout the State of Michigan. The Wildcat Marching Band has been a State Finalist in MCBA since 1994 and continually earns top awards and places at these competitions. It is one of, if not the only State level competitive marching band that doesn't charge families to participate!

Jazz Band

Comprised of auditioned 9-12th grade students, this band partially due to it's size is the flagship ensemble for the school and travels throughout the State, Region, and Nation. It continually earns honors at the highest levels throughout the State and Nation.

Concert Band

Comprised of 9th grade students is also a part of the marching band, it performs strong yet fun high school literature that promotes musical growth.

Wind Ensemble

Comprised of the top achieving 9-12th grade students and is part of the marching band, it performs the highest levels of wind band literature for high school and collegiate levels.

Symphonic Band

Comprised of 10-12th grade students and is part of the marching band, it performs more challenging literature that mixes both classic wind band and exciting pieces.

Band Boosters

This organization is the lifeline and central nervous system to the band program. They help support, organize, promote, and take care of nearly all the logistics for the band program. Without their support with volunteers, skills, and fundraising the band program would not be as thriving as it is today. Check out the band boosters on Facebook and at our website at Northviewbandboosters.net
