May 2025 Bond

THANK YOU, NORTHVIEW COMMUNITY!

The approval of the bond proposal is a testament to our community's unwavering commitment to the students and staff of Northview Public Schools. We are deeply appreciative of the voters who have demonstrated their belief in our vision for the future of education. This investment will empower us to continue fostering an environment where every student is inspired to achieve their individual best!

Our WHY

Children in choir singing.

Supporting students, connecting community, and focusing on the future are top priorities for the NVPS district.

The scale and complexity of school facilities make upgrades and improvements costly—well beyond the scope of traditional state funding. A bond proposal provides the most effective way to ensure our buildings remain safe, modern and able to meet the needs of both students and the community.

Without approval, the district would face significant challenges. Improvements would be postponed and emergency facility repairs to outdated facilities would need to be funded from the general operating budget, potentially diverting resources away from student programs and educational initiatives.

Project Summary: Sinking Fund and Bond 2025

Friday, September 5, 2025

On behalf of everyone at Northview Public Schools, we want to express our deepest gratitude for the overwhelming support of our community. Because of your incredible generosity, our bond and sinking fund projects are now a reality, transforming our schools and creating a brighter future for every student.

This summer, we’ve made exciting progress on several key initiatives, and we're thrilled to share these updates with you.

2025 Bond Project Updates

Northview High School

At Northview High School, we're in the schematic design phase for some truly amazing improvements. We're planning for renovated choir and band classrooms, an expanded lobby in the Performing Arts Center, and a much-needed upgrade to our athletic facilities with new locker room, team room, and added storage. We're also working to transform the high school's media center into a vibrant hub for collaboration and learning.

East Oakview Elementary

Meanwhile, at East Oakview Elementary, we are designing a new gymnasium that will provide a dedicated space for physical education. This addition will also allow us to renovate the existing gym into a more functional cafeteria. We're also designing two new Field School classrooms to replace the outdated Field School trailer, giving our young learners a modern and comfortable space to grow.

Sinking Fund Project Update

Thanks to your support of the sinking fund, we’ve already completed a major project at the high school. We are thrilled to announce that the installation of air conditioning in the Science and Social Studies wing of the High School is now complete, providing a more comfortable and productive environment for our students and staff, even on the hottest days.

2020 Bond Project Updates

The renovation and asbestos abatement work on the Administration Building is moving along smoothly and is on track to be completed by October 2025.

These projects are more than just new walls and facilities—they are a testament to our community's commitment to education. Your support is making a tangible difference in the lives of our students, and we are so grateful for your partnership. We can't wait to see these incredible plans come to life!

Our students. Our community. Our future.
