YMCA Before/After School Care
Northview Public Schools is excited to partner with the YMCA to provide expanded childcare offerings for our families. Our new partnership with the YMCA enables us to host before and after school-year programs for grades K-6 directly at the East Oakview, North Oakview, and West Oakview buildings. Summer child care is offered at the Wolverine YMCA in Belmont.
Students from Highlands Middle School can also be registered and will attend the West Oakview location.

Hope you had a great summer! We’re looking forward to another great school year! Below is a lot of information to help you understand and navigate our registration system this year as we adjust our childcare opportunities to match NVPS school schedule.
Starting today, updated program registration for the YMCA School Age Child Care is open!
Program Rates
1 day Before or After – No longer an option.
2 day – before or after – $40
3 day – before or after – $60
5 day – before or after – $75
Full Time – AM & PM for 5 days – $130
No School Day Child Care: No school day child care will only be available on November 3, January 19, March 9, and May 1. No School Day Child Care will be $70 per day. If you’re enrolled and attending our BAC program during these dates, then rates will be prorated.
Half Day Child Care: Not offered.
Sibling Discount: We will also maintain the sibling discount, which is 5% off your weekly registration rate for the oldest sibling utilizing our child care program.
Enrollment Fee: There is an enrollment fee of $25 per child that will be billed upon your completion of registration.

Registration for the 2025-26 school year is now open!
Families will need to register for the days they need care for each specific week. We apologize for the inconvenience, however we want to ensure we have your child registered for the correct days of attendance. Schedule Changes and Program Cancellation Policies for the 2025-26 School Year
Scheduling for 2, 3, or 4/5-Day Rate Plans: When registering for 2-Day, 3-Day or 5-Day rate plans, you will be asked to confirm which days of the week you will utilize care for the duration of the school year. You can go into your online account to update the days you need care for yourself. If you require assistance with this process, please reach out to our Billing Coordinator, Jodi, at 616-855-9563 (jphaneuf@grymca.org). Due to capacity of registration each day, we will need to assess the ability to adjust your request. If schedule adjustments are made, your financial rate plan may increase or decrease. YMCA will not pro-rate days of care.
Waitlist Fee: All School Age Programs will have a non-refundable waitlist placement fee of $25 per child. If you have registered your child for programming and need to cancel care until a later date, a one time wait list fee will be applied to your account. This will secure the child’s name on the waitlist but does not guarantee that care will become available.
Cancellation of Individual Weeks and Holding Fee: If you need to cancel individual weeks of care throughout the school year, you may hold your space in the YMCA Child Care program, however you will be charged a holding fee of 50% of your weekly tuition rate for weeks that your student(s) does not attend child care and it will guarantee your spot.
Cancellation of Enrollment: If circumstances change during the school year and you plan to end enrollment with the YMCA Child Care program, you will need to notify your program director with a two week cancellation notice to ensure you are not improperly billed. If you are not able to attend due to COVID-19 guidance from the state or your doctor, you will not be billed during that time.
